Texas Hearing Institute’s Early Learning Program is accepting open enrollment for the 2022-2023 academic school year for children ages 18 months through three years old. Students at the Melinda Webb School benefit academically from our co-enrollment classes for children with and without hearing loss, while parents feel at ease knowing their child is receiving a high-quality education at one of the premier daycare facilities in the Greater Houston area.
Amy, a current MWS Early Learning Program parent, knew the Melinda Webb School’s unique daycare program with highly-trained teachers offered the perfect environment for her son.
“The Early Learning Program at Texas Hearing Institute has been a fantastic educational placement for our toddler,” Amy said.“He started the program with a few words and a fear of school, but now he loves it. He has learned so much in the two months since he started.”
“The Early Learning program is a great option for parents who are looking to nourish their child’s development outside of the regular school year,” Ms. Bre’Anne, a Melinda Webb School teacher and co-enrollment instructor, said. “Students will get a chance to engage with their peers in a playful setting while also participating in educational-based activities.”
Children enrolled in the program are given the opportunity to flourish and make new discoveries every day.
“We have been very happy with the play-based curriculum and how they pack so much learning into fun, hands-on experiences,” Amy said.“He can now count to five, combine words, and is learning new words every day.”
With a low teacher-to-student ratio, the Early Learning Program sets itself apart from other daycare programs in the Houston area because of its sense of community. Each student gets individualized attention and care from our teachers.
“The staff has been so welcoming and he is always greeted with smiles and hugs,” Amy said. “He loves his friends and teachers, and is so excited when we pull into the parking lot each morning.”
Our Early Learning Program gives children the tools they need to be successful when they leave the Melinda Webb School, thus making the transition into mainstream grade school easier. Be sure to enroll today and provide your child with an education that focuses on the whole child and helps develop their speech-language, literacy, social, gross, and fine motor skills.
